some explanations
So, I had to go see passive-aggressive NP the other day, because the new Doc isn’t quite on board yet at UCSF.
I told her about the odd-ball menstrual issues, and she explained that it’s normal because I haven’t had a menstrual cycle since December of last year, so it’s normal to expect a heavier than normal cycle. This makes sense.
She also said many patients have their eyesight return to normal…I’m glad to hear this since I can’t see anything with my glasses on (up close) and the astigmatism must be different because I get dizzy and headaches iwhen I try to wear my glasses around. I see better without my glasses since I have taken a “rest” from them since May 1st, wearing them only when critical (like driving.)
I’m making plans and preparing for New York, gathering up my books and such…winter clothes, ugh. How much I hate it there—mostly because I’m far from George and Rutger. Rutger is turning 14 this year and for an old dog, he’s got lots of energy, but I worry something will happen to him while I’m in school and George will have to deal with it alone…we love this dog like a son. He’s at my side as I write this, and he’s going to miss me, a lot, I know. I wish I could make him understand that I’ll be back in a few weeks/months.
I’m having the sonogram of my uterus tomorrow and I guess they’ll do my abdomen and “look” at my ovaries…we’ll see what they say about the cyst—how big it is, etc.
Hopefully, I won’t have to contact Columbia and say, hey—I need another medical leave since this would set me back yet another year, or they may just tell me to forget about the program altogether :(
